MHLCT Warm Spaces Fund 2025-26

Up to 25 grants of £1,000 will be awarded to churches in the top 10% of deprived areas in England, which are running Warm Spaces during the winter of 2025/26 and need a little bit of help to do so.

Eligibility criteria

All the following criteria must be met:

1. Located or working in one of the top 10% of deprived areas in England

2. Running a ‘Warm Space’ within a church-run building during the winter 2025-2026 season

3. Registered as a Warm Space with the Warm Welcome Campaign

Please note that registration with the Warm Welcome Campaign is different to registration as a Warm Space with your local council or any other body. We will check that your church is on this list.

Applications

The first application cycle will run from 6th October 2025 to 31st October 2025. Please note:

• You need to complete both the short application form and the LFT coversheet. Both can be found below to download. Your completed application form and coversheet should be sent with a covering email to info@laingfamilytrusts.org.uk no later than 12noon on Friday 31st October 2025.
• Priority will be given to applicants who did not receive a grant for the 2024/25 season. If you did receive a Warm Spaces grant in 2024/25, we advise you to wait to see if a second window for applications is opened (see below).
• All applications will be reviewed after 31st October and you can expect a response from us by the end of November 2025.
• If all 25 grants are not awarded in the first application cycle, a second application cycle wil be opened at a later date.
• Applicants currently in receipt of other grants from the Laing Family Trusts can apply, as long as they meet the stated criteria.
